“Educated people are the building blocks of a nation.” Education is one of the most essential virtues in the life of an individual. Apart from being a necessity of the society, it is an important symbol of freedom and helps in leading a good life.
The role of education, both urban and rural, is huge in growth of the country’s economy. Although education in the urban areas have progressed rapidly during the last few decades, there are still some villages where education is not given sufficient priority. There are several reasons as to why rural education in India should be enforced efficiently, even in the most remote regions.

School Kit Distribution – SKD
“Bringing Smiles” have been actively involved in the education of underprivileged children in schools. We noticed that enrollment of children into the schools is one of the biggest challenges faced by the school authorities. We then conducted a survey with the help of teachers and realized that despite Government education being practically free of cost, many children did not take the first step towards the school, simply because they did not have the very basic school supplies. Their parents, many of whom are severely impoverished and have a day to day struggle to make ends meet, could not afford to buy the materials required for school.
As a humble attempt to change this situation “Bringing Smiles” started the “School Kit Distribution” program free of cost. The School Kit contains a school bag, notebooks, geometry box, pens and pencil etc., fulfilling students’ basic resources for the academic year.
